Im completely lost . Ihave installed a 79 L28 in my 73 240. I upgraded the pistons to the euro market raised dome's. I have also installed an schnider racing cams .460 lift , 270 duration cam with new rockers and all . I amrunning 6 into 1 headders and a two and a half in. pipe to a thrush muffler. Your standard motorsport auto catalog special . im also running the 71 su's . is that enugh carburator ? is my compression too high? she doesnt want to idle below 100 rpm . she runs a little hot at times . she misses under load . and runs on after i shut her down? im thinking its the carbs , is there a way to modify them ? is the L28 too much for the carbs . who should i talk to? aney good advise will be greatly appriciated, thanks.
