I have a 1979 280ZX. My mirror was loose and not straight. I thought it just needed to be tightened, so i took the door apart and tightened it but it still wasnt straight. Between the door and the actual mirror stem there is a plastic spacer type of thing. Mine is cracked in half. Is there anyplace where i can get that part, without buying a new mirror?

What side do you need? I can send you an intact right side, but the left side one I have is broken near the front.

Take a piece of innertube [ may be befor your time, tires had innertubes to hold air in olden days ] trim to size, should work.
