do miata mirrors attach easily to a 240z, and would it be possible to wire the mirrors to the car so i could use them as power mirrors? also, which mirrors look better--mirrors from the old miata, or from the new body style?
i have some 2000 miata mirrors i will be using on my car. they will NOT bolt on easily the door countour is different.
i think they will fit with a fair amount of work and should look good. i wont bother with the power wiring but i cannot see why it couldnt be done. be a PITA just for that though.
earlier mirrors i never looked at - imo they are not as nice looking
I want to do this mod as well. I agree that the later Miata mirrors are much nicer than earlier units. I have been quoted $150 for the power mirrors locally and that included all of the wiring harness plugs and the control switch. However, I would have to hook those babies up to 12 volts
I have adapted Mitsubishi 3000GT power heated mirrors to my 77 280Z but have not yet wired them in. It involved making shims to correct the angle of the doorskin so that the mirrors sit level. See it here: http://www.zcarcreations.com/howto/mitsumirror.htm
