Metal ones? I don't know. I just got the nylon ones from the local nissan 'ship. $18 for the three.

There are instructions on making metal ones. I think it is on zhome.com.

The nylon ones will last a handful of years if you decide to go with those.

You can can get aluminum bushing set if you Z is not older than 8/71, from nissan motorsports.

I try to make one for 78 and it was pain. It was lot easier for me to use 81 shifter.

ive heard people say the metal ones wear out the slot where the shifter fits
in the transmission. makes sense. ide rather it wore the plastic. those
are easy to replace. transmissions arent

If you use metal bushings instead of the nylon, you will notice that your shifter gets too hot to touch.

Think about it. Go with the smooth slick nylon.
