Had a few questions about your swap, yes I've been searching the archives. Did you convert a N/A 2+2 to RHD TT? I was going to sell my
90 2+2 auto for 1500.00 had it advertised for four weeks still sitting in my driveway. I'm seriously considering the VG30DETT manual trans swap

I'm having a hard time deciding if I should pony up for a JDM TT half cut,
complete with the works, or try and buy the motor trans ECU wiring

I guess the half cut makes most sense since you get everything needed

I really want to sell the Car, and Buy a Turbo, On the other hand I prefer the 2+2 (I've owned both models)

Feel free to pipe in Boys, nothing wrong with having several Heads thinking on a matter

Happy New Year everyone, may 2006 be prosperous for you, and your familys

No my car is still LHD. If you are going to do it I really suggest getting the full
clip or half cut as you put it. It just makes everything so much easier than
trying to piece together everything you need, however if done right and if you
plan on upgrading and changing out a lot of stuff before you put the motor in
you can actually save a little by piecing together everything.

I ordered a full front clip and had a friend do the work so I can't really give you
an idea of how hard it will be but I will say that you will run into a lot of little
things like oil sending unit is on the opposite side you will lose your a/c unless
you have a USDM condenser and lines. You should do you 60k service while
the motor is out and change all you hoses. I was in a rush and overlooked
this and my timing belt eat all the teeth off of a 6in section I was at an idle
and it didn't mess up anything luckily but that is a once in a lifetime chance
you shouldn't take. If done right you can get up and running for 3k-5k
depending on labor if you do it yourself or have someone else do it. I spent
about 5k on my swap that included labor the front clip RPS clutch fidanza
flywheel, boost controller, turbo timer, and a couple gauges I never hooked
up but will soon. If you already have a 2+2 and prefer it I would just do the
swap.

Thanks, I appreciate you taken the time to share your thoughts. I'm getting old, and my Back isn't what it was, 30 years ago, When I Bought my first 510 and 240Z.

One things for sure, my passion for these Cars only gets stronger. It's great to see the many talented Builders out there, You Guys are great, and a wonderful inspiration to others with similar interests
