I want to lower my 74 z. what are the advantages and disadvantages of cutting the springs or buying lowering springs? how low should i go? im going for better handleing, not style

I bought the Tokico springs and non-adjustable struts from MSA and I am very happy with them. The ride is very good with the springs and they lower about an inch. Make sure you purchase the bump stops as well.

Cut springs are fine on a budget, but proper lowering springs and such are the best route for the best handling. My springs are cut, cheap ******* that I am, but it was worth it, what little body roll there was is not noticeable now and it is easier to control. If possible, I'd go with the lowering springs.

You will benifit from lowering springs especially around corners you can increase you speed more. Buy the springs already lowered because you could screw up and miscut. Been there done that.
