Why can I not stay logged in? Even though it says stay logged in forever, it logs me out.

Log on ten times a day. It's not enough to keep me away.

I don't know guys. I was starting to feel that way too until I received this nice PM from one of the moderators to questions I had about my perceived recent changes in the way the site is being run, moderated and/or administered:

this is just speculation, but the page you are on expires at a preset time. I'm not totally sure, but the short life span is less viable to later use. A security function? I have better luck posting some, then, modify to get more words in without the page expiring. I'm doing it now. Wait too long before activity, and you are logged out. And as to the afore mentioned rants, thats part my fault, I've been purposely stirring people up. Moderators, Samuari, emporer, even innocent pilgrims.

If you stay logged in 'forvever' then how would the count screen views and loads on ads that 'aren't visible to registered members?'

But if you're bumped off, then you load them every time you come on to log back in...

I mean, for those of you who were 'logged in forever' before....when did it start happening?

Ads haven bothered me. The spam posts do, but those happened before and I figure it's part of life on the web. Not being able to stay logged in does bother me. It's one of those little things that after a while gets incredibly annoying. Moderators - is there a fix / solution for this? Or is it a security function of some kind? I'm sure if we knew why it was happening it would be easier to understand, accept, etc?

Greg, it is all about the number of log ins. I can understand in some ways, something has to pay for the web site. But if you think about it "WE" are the reason people log on. So someone is preying on our knowledge....think about it.

Heck Frank, if the owner of this site is relying for his electric bill on my knowledge, he's going to be cold next month! :)

But, in all seriousness, I get your point. My guess is things will work out, adjustments made, etc. If not, and too many people who contribute (whether knowledge, photos, entertainment value, etc.) stop logging in here and go somewhere else, the value to the owner will suffer. I hope that doesn't happen. But if so, let me know where you go!

Now, back to Z car discussion!

H4 Lights. I saw this in a facebook post, like the one I show at the bottom in my signature where Yorgo resides.

You may share it with any private message people you choose. It made me laugh.

If my dog bites you, don't worry the dog will be okay...it will probably just lick it's butt for a week or so to get the taste out of its mouth

No problems with being logged out on this end either.

What windows platform are you guys running? Maybe it's something common to one version of windows, of Explorer or some other base program you have or security setting you are sharing?

XP Chrome, XP Chrome, XP IE8 - all log out regularly.

No it isn`t. It happens to me on my iPhone, on my laptop with Vista and the PC at work running XP.

Maybe it`s just certain members.........

It is becoming quite annoying though.

I have an HP, w/ vista and I thought it was just me, (I really liked XP better) anyway when this started driving me crazy, I picked an easier password. Norm K.

Another NEW feature, but you must be logged OUT to use it.

While searching when logged out some words will have a double underline. Place the cursor on the word and you will have a pop up! The key words can be in the YOUR text or signature. Just for fun I found pop ups for 3 Chrysler cars, 2 Dodge trucks and a Jeep. Key words include car's, auto, 4X4, truck, engine, etc...

Pink Floyd is in the back ground...'MONEY'...
