One of the 240's is a project car, don't know which one yet. It will recieve the extra F54 engine I have, rebuilt of course, along with a custom intake manifold, turbo, intercooler, brakes, DFI(don't know which one yet, considering Electromotive), extra 5-speed, etc.

'83 has centerforce, schneider cam, higher compression, header, custom exhaust, and bald tires after 20k on them.

Stewart Richline
81 280ZX turbo
intercooled, T3/T4, exhaust, filter, 300ZXT ECU and MAS, and lots of other goodies.
Running 15lbs of boost with a 3 speed automatic.
Looking for a 240Z to put my turbo stuff in it!
I'll give you guys an update when I'm done.
Also, anyone thought of putting a turbocharged Nissan Silvia motor in a 510 or roadster? That would be fun!

This is my first Z. It's a daily driver. I put headers and 2.5 inch exhaust and thats all the mods i have done. This winter i'm rebuilding the engine. It smokes and burns oil really bad. I get around 27-28 mpg. hopefully i will still get that after the rebuild.

I just bought an 83 280zxt for $850. I didn't realize what a great car it was at the time. I own a Datsun 210, so it figures it was reliable and it is different. It needs a lot of work, but nothing major. I live in Salt Lake City Utah.

Kane Mordaunt
73 240Z 3 spd auto

This is my first Z which I rescued from my dad before he farm jobbed it to death. It has original L24 rebuilt with mid-performance cam, headers, electronic ignition conversion. Nice Modern wheels running Toyo tires. She needs a lot of RR in terms of rusted pans, battery box, the usual. I want to replace the 4-barrel Holly with triple Weber downdrafts, do the brake conversion, and update the suspension. Looking for a 4-spd auto tranny conversion to replace the 3-spd. Don't want 5-spd manual due to city driving conditions. If anyone has done this, please let me know how you did it.

Just beginning the body restoration, still reading. How to Restore Your Z Car is recommended reading for this. Tore out ineterior (looking for a black replacement interior for the tan which is for sale BTW), will be removing drive train to do body restore. Once floors are replaced and rust is passified, I will seal body and undercoat. Final paint will be the 72 dark green. Final interior touches will include updated stereo, seats, seat belts, and cup holders. It's good to Z here.

I own an 80 zx coupe and an 80 zx 2+2. I'm currently trying to get the 2+2 working properly, but it's giving me fits. I'm in the military in Lemoore, Ca.

I used to own a pristine '83 280ZXT, two-tone silver/grey. It was my first car. It was stolen a couple years ago. I'm currently looking for a driveable 240Z project car.

That's right kids, the owner and operator of ZCAR.COM doesn't have a Z right now!

Thanks for everyone's support of this site. It's great to see such enthusiasm for the Z. Even if Nissan doesn't bring it back, people like you will keep them alive.

Re: Lets get to know eachother...(introduce yourse

Kudos to Derek for the great forum.
Run by a Z enthusiast for Z enthusiasts.

My car: (This is my first Z car)
1972 Datsun 240Z (Bought from original owner)
Still have Datsun Service Card and Receipt for car
Mods:
Suspension: 2.5 coil-overs, tokico 5-way adj.

Polyurethane bushings, all new bearings, tie rods, etc...
Body: Stock except addition of air dam
Color: Mexican Orange
Engine: 2.8L 9.5:1 cr with triple 45mm Webers
Exhaust: 2.5 exhaust with straight thru muffler

Headers (I found them in a junkyard)
Tranny: 77 280Z 5 spd. With stock R180 diff.

(Plan on 280ZX 5 spd with R200 3.9?)
Wheels: 15x7 Panasports with 225/50/15 D40 M2 tire
Brakes: Toyota 4x4 4 pistons up front, stock drums

(Looking into vented front discs now)

Needless to say, this is the best driving car I have ever owned. There is still alot in progress, but money and time dictate when these things happen. I rank this car with Porsche 911's as far as driving enjoyment. They say Enjoy the ride and I certainly do.
Happy Z'ing

Re: Lets get to know eachother...(introduce yourse

Strictly a toy used for autocrossing. Lowered too much to be really streatable it has all the go fast suspension changes, and wide sticky tires. A 280 5 speed tranny fit with ease, and anything that even looked heavy was removed. 240 carbs and manifold and open exhuast, and de-polluted was all it needed to consistantly beat 'Vettes and Mustangs on tight courses.

Aren't these cars great?

Hello,

I have a '80 zx Coupe T-top
130,000 miles
I bought it from my dad - the original owner.
Glad to say for 16 years it was a garage car. Sad to say that I have been driving it
too much in the last two years and needs interior restoration and body work.

Re: Lets get to know eachother...(introduce yourse

I have an 83zx with 119000 miles and live in Northwest florida. the car is all stock except for what i have done to it. I took the door modeling off and spot welded the holes. still needs a real paint job on it. this is my third Z had a 80zx and a 78 z.
I have lowered the car an inch with eibach springs and put tokico spings in. that is the one major change i have done. I have half the stuff i need to do the rear brakes right now. Iam currently looking for a AFM from a 300z to install on mine, but there is nothing around the area.
