Ok This N42 cylnder head is almost done. I need to take off teh intake manifold now and bam. looks like all the bolts are ontop of the manifold and on the side. Is this true or do I Need to move out the whole head and then I can take off the Manifolds? On a more humerous not i did not have enough leverage for pull off the last 7 head bolts, so i use a camshaft with the cam sprocket inside it for leverage, the most redneck thing i have ever done at teh wrecker lol.

Take the head off and then remove the manifolds. It's about 100 times easier that way. When you reinstall the head, put the manifolds on before you put it on the engine.

You have to take off the intake manifold first. Just do one thing at a time. And, be careful that you don't scratch the head surface top.

yea i agree take the head off with the manifolds attached
its heavier but if its been on there a long time those bolts
are really frozen. you can set the head on its side and spray
tons of liquid wrench in there

those **** heat shields on the bottom of the intake manifold are
a real pain to deal with. life is too short to have bloody knuckles
