I'm looking to put some K&N filters on my stock SU's, and I'm trying to decide what to do with the hose coming out of the valve over. A lot of people say I should get the K&N breather filter for $20 that fits onto the opening, but I've also heard this will stink up the car and isn't great for how it runs.

Any opinions here? Should I get the extra filter, or figure out a way to connect the hose to one of the new filter boxes?

RE: K&N filters - what to do with valve cover

good one, I have the same prob. i am using K&N breather. it puts OUT oil mist/mess.Isaw some N.A.S.A. racer that had to use a tube+bottle because racing doesn't want you spewing oil. it would be nice to do something cleaner, like stock.hope we get some good advice:^)

RE: K&N filters - what to do with valve cover

I had these on a 70 R/T Challenger and they blew oil all over the valve covers. I'd suggest venting back into the intake as stock. The K&N isn't neccessary in that location. It's just intenal pressure relief, I believe. Very messy, but they look cool.
