the engine swap saga continues. The owner of the shop put in an engine that has a shot main bearing, along with the oil holding capability of a floursifter. **** him and his junkyard engines. Now he says for 70 more bucks he can get a Japanese engine with only 30 or 40k miles on it.

What are the possible issues with this? ECU's, sensors, turns right better than it turns left, etc

You'll have to swap some stuff on it. Like intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, oil pan, and some more stuff.

most of the jap speck engines swap right in maybe a couple of sensors just make sure you get what you want alot of motors coming out of japan are way off from what you want, for example though this is a domestic motor i swapped a ecs sensor that didnt even exsist onto a 92 engine that was going into a 99 body, the sensor was right by the valve cover i had to drill a hole and tap into the motor to plug the sensor in....most of the engines will work with alot of swapping basically as long as it is the same liter engine you should have no problem using the same ecu but everything the intake exhaust manifolds sensors everything you can salvage even the pulleys or cam gears oil pan whatever may need to be swapped but just get a vg30 or like and see what has to be swapped
