so get over your laughter and please help
something is weired here i just drained my oil and now my dip stick stills says it has enough oil?
i have not added any oil back yet
i have not got my oil filter off yet
i also am replacing my oil pressure sending unit today
but the dip stick should be reading no oil and i thought that odd any thoughts?
oh yea the transmission dip stick is on the drivers side - should it be read hot or do you read it cold?

i wiped id off 15 times it read overfull all times??????

It's picking up oil from the dipstick tube.

Are you reading the checked part? That's where you should be able to read nothing.

i should have said this is my 86 300zx
oil everywhere on the dip stick from tip to slightly past the 2nd hump - past the H mark

now just to see if the words "I'm way to high to be here." might not apply
my oil plug is on my oil pan and that is the first big pan i comt to under my car the plug is on the passenger side and changing the filter sucks!!!!

30 minutes later cheched dip stick still same response could there still be oil because the car is jacked up? i would think not though

just to be shure the tranny fluid would not be dark like old oil? right?

Can you say...........owner's manual, Chilton's or Haynes manuals......if you're not familiar with what's under the hood and where it's located?
