I'm thinking about addicting a small sub this summer when I refinish the hatch. I'm not going to add anything crazy, but I'm concerned I may not have a lot of power left to run a new system. I just installed a new ASP U/D pulley. This is in my 300zx N/a. I did however buy the TT alternator a while ago which has a little more power output than the N/a version.
Basically, I need to find out how much power I have left over, and if it's enough to add another amplifier to power a small sub. Obviously it would be at idle when the least amount of power is generated. I don't want to go and buy a new amp and sub-woofer if my current set-up cannot power it.
So is there a way for me to measure my output so I could calculate how much lee-way I have at idle?
