Hi!

I've heard rumour that an 82 two "port" Ignition control unit is compatible with the 79 one "port" ignition system. You just don't plug anything into the 2nd port. Does anyone know the truth or fiction to this? My 79 died, and I have a spare for my 82. But I don't want to burn up my spare due to the cost of these stupid things.
