I have yet aniother question this morning and i really have to tahnk you all for your help.


Does anyone know if an Eagle Talon/Mitsubishi Eclipse Intercooler will fit onto a 1982 280 zxT?? Are there and mods i may have to do? anything at all i should know this is my first turbo and i dont know much. Thanks

The Talon/Eclipse IC is a pretty small unit with 1.75" inlet/outlet sizes and probably isn't a good choice. I've seen the Mitsu Starion unit installed in 81-83 ZX's and it fits nice and does a good job for the price.

So you wouldn't recomend it? i mean i dont race my car really, its kinda just for an extra precaution....

Or are you saying it wont fit at all?

That particular IC was restrictive, too much pressure drop, even for the 2.0 liter engine that it was designed for. IMHO it is not worth the effort to plumb it into the 2.8 liter Z engine.
