on my 78 i'm restoring the inner fenderwell are basically rotted away at the bottom where they meet the frame rails i was wondering if 16 gauge metal would be okay, and that if i doubled up on the front and back of the fender well around the strut tower for added strength just like datsun did when the car was built.
