Injectors no noid!

1980 280zx. Replaced all the injectors after one started leaking last week ran fine. Driving to work yesterday, no fuel, shut down by it self. Because of fuel pump noise increasing last two months, auto assumed bad fuel pump. Replaced same. No start. Got spark. applied injector test noid to all injectors. No flash from any injector connector. Assuming bad control box but need good basic block diagrams (have nasty bad haynes manual with useless wire diagrams) Went to Alldata car info subscription service, oldest car covered is 1982 280zx. I am an ASE master tech but can do squat for toubleshooting without good info. Tested inj. relay. and ignition power relay. Fuse links are all good. Tried two different control boxes with matching service #'s, no joy. I am interested in any source data or experience with this prob. Thanks.

It's a really simple system, do you have power at the injectors? The control unit grounds them but if they aren't powered up, grounding them doesn't do much good. The ignition coil negative provides the trigger for the ECU. The main "trouble" I've seen is the relay mounted behind a cover over at the battery. An 82 NA should be real close if not exactly the same as your 80, 83 was when they changed things some. If this doesn't help, get a FSM.
The "bible" will not do much for him. It is for 75 to 77 280Z's. The ECU pinout for 79 - 83 is completely different.
Appreciate the pinout "informed" notice related to my download of the 75 injection bible. I did download it and was doing backflips on the absolute fine handling of the POAs and the Diagrams and the troubleshooting all at the control unit connector within this really fine tech pub! Alas, though, I was wondering on the cross applicability to the 80 model Z. Okay, now I am assuming 'FSM' relates to a service manual. Where to get it? What are they going for these days? We are now car pooling in our 80 Volvo and things are getting dicey. I can fix it if I have the right info. It is man made and can be fixed by man! (I hope). I have now Tuesday and Wednesday off to fix this. My weekend, after a fashion. Where can I go to get what I need?
