I just purchased a strut tower brace for my friends 240SX (not a Z, so sue me, it was a christmasx gift) from Courtesy Nissan here in Dallas, and I must say that we are incredibly impressed. The responsiveness is so much better through the turns (one turn was at around 60mph without tire slippage while previously it was at about 40) that I am almost sure that this was worth more than the money.

Next up for him is new poly-urethane bushings and a set of adjustable shocks.

Oh, and I was thumbing through the Top End Performance catalogue I have and noticed that they have a K&N conical with 3 inlet pipe, mandrel bent, for under $100. Anyone have it?

Thanks, thought I might share that.

Phillip,
Call Alamo Autosport in Arlington, TX. They have a really nice strut brace for Z's. It is a bit on the expensive side but it actually works and, last I heard, doesn't require any hood modifications to install.
Merry Christmas,

im very happy with the strut tower braces (front & back) i got from motorsport. i think they were around $85 or something in the area each. easy to install with no mods or cutting or anything. the front brace even cleared my dgv's which i thought was gonna be a problem. top end performance has a full engine strute tower brace also i wouldnt mind trying as well as their rear strute tower brace.

Best looking one I've seen

This is the best brace I've ever seen. Carbon fiber inserts and all. A little costly, and I could never use one on any car I own, but I think it looks great. Just something too look at, or maybe someone will get an idea and make on for a Z???

You've never seen the one on the Suburu Impreza 2.5rs in the newest issue of Sport Compact Car, have you? That is one that I wouldn't mind but since I am not having one bit of carbon fiber in my Z so that I can keep it exactly how I want.
