I've got a 77, all stock cept for what i've mickey moused. And i don't have the patients to deal with headers, intake, TB, and other 5 hp bolt-ons. I heard a diff. swap from a 300zx will give me results now. Is this true? and how much should i plan on spending at the junkyard. I also don't think im gonna be able to do this myself, so how much should i put away to bribe the mechanic for installation?

If you put in a LSD from an 87-89 turbo z you will still be watching other people doing burn outs because you will have two wheels to break traction instead of one. So either find the patients to deal with those 5hp bolt-ons or do a rebuild. All those LITTLE 5hp's add up and make a BIG difference.

So to get a car just to do a burn out you want to give up freeway driveablity. I've heard it all now. Sounds like the car will burn out all right but in the wrong way.

What do you you use the car for? Better off adding more hp. Lowering the gear ratio (if thats what you wanted by changing rear ends) will let you do burn outs and probably give better 1/4 mi times, but not good for everyday driving on the highway.

I think he wants more than to do just burn outs. It just depends on what the car is going to be used for.

I would think a 240 Z could do burn outs
my 280ZXT when it ran did burn outs all the time
