Ignition Transistor Module 78' 280z

I recently picked up a 1978 280z that's been sitting for around 15years in a garage. I'm currently trying to complete the ignition system. The car is missing its ignition transistor module.
Just like the FSM shows there is a black, black and white, blue, green, and red wires.

My question is will another module from an older 280z work? Specifically one from a 76'? The module I've found has extra wires a white wire and a brown wire. Does not having these two wires hooked up effect anything?

The extra wires are there to use the extra magnetic pickup in the distributor and the water temperature switch that the 1976 model has. to give more timing advance when the engine is cold. Leaving them disconnected won't affect the main ignition circuit, which is all your 78 needs. I used a 78 module in my 76 (just left the other magnetic pickup disconnected). I'm pretty sure the colors were the same, but to be sure you could check the 1976 FSM or one of the wiring diagrams around the internet. It should work fine.
