1972 240Z. Has anyone experienced overheating of the coil and ballist resister? I was having trouble with my car running for a short period and then dying. I installed new coil, condenser, rotor, ballast resister. It ran great for about a half hour and then had the same problem. I felt the coil and resister and were very hot. Is it possible the voltage regulator is bad. If the coil is overheated will it be ruined?
