idle problem
if I connect the water sensor back, the engine stalled. without water sensor connect it run like scrap. I spray starting fluid at the cold intake it run worse. Can you give me some idea of how to fix this problem. thans in advange.

Here is a link to the Factory 1975 280Z Fuel Injection manual thanks to:

Get a copy of it and study it.
Note that the fuel pump control and operation for the 78 is not as described in the FI Bible above but the rest of the test are the same.
You can get a FSM for your specific year from Courtesy Nissan 240Z, 260Z, 280Z, Service Manuals and CDs
Is it posible that you have switched the connectors for the ThermoTime Switch and the Water Temp Sensor?
