Idle fine... but when slightly pushed?
I need help my 79 280 zx. I am in the rebuild stage. It starts right up, no problem, it idles without problem. With the hood up you can horse the motor with the linkage. BUT when in motion, when it is slightly pushed like trying to get from 15 to 45mph quickly it feels as though you popped the clutch because the fuel flow stops and the car cuts off. You have to completely stop the car to restart it. And it doesn't have the power it should have. oh, if it is accelerated at a slower steady pace it will go. I still think it is prohibited from what it should do. Please help

gas tank got rust i would bet 80 bucks to boil and coatit at a local rad shop.
had same problem took me a year to think of the tank lol
