The AAC valve also contributes to idle speed. When the cyl temp sensor tells the ecu the engine is cold, the ecu sends a signal to the modulator which puts more vacuum to the aac valve, thus opening it and increasing idle speed.

where abouts is the AAC valve?

got a bad idle and im trying to find the cause. ive replaced & cleaned the air regulator, didnt help much.

is the cold start valve a possible problem too?
