I am officially retired......

The Z is now officially put to sleep for the season, but not without a fight. For whatever reason she decided to puke her alternator just before the hibernation. That gives me a new spring project (and expense) ooooooohhhh well. In addition our LAST and I mean LAST project car has finally come to life after 4 years of working on it on and off. It's my oldest sons 90 Talon, and it will be another monster. We are hoping to put down 650-700 to the wheels. We cranked it up for the first time this past week and it kicked off right away, which shocked me to no end. The kid has more into this car than what my first house cost, not to mention the countless hours of labor. Anyhow here is a link to the start up day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nY35oJnTAgs Here is the mod list : http://www.fquick.com/garages/Eagle/Talon/1994/15467/

I can't tell you how nice it is to be able to have a TWO CAR garage again!!!! It has been 7 years since I could say that!!!!

wow! congrats! and it's good to see you around again!

hopefully now, we'll get to see some more of you around this place!
I thought you were selling that Z?
Let us know how it runs Doc, What kinda quarter mile times are you shooting for?
Maxdoc...skip the quarter mile...your Z has a steering wheel for a reason. ;)
I'm with you doc...

my car is going under the knife again this weekend.

For an appetizer, I am going to have it balanced, have the heads tanked and new valve guide seals installed, and re ring it while it's down.

The main course is new tie rod ends, wheel bearings, ball joints, and front suspension bushings.

And for dessert, relocating the fuse block, and repainting the inner fender wells and under the hood.

Tried to sell it last year. Had two offers, one backed out and the other was for 3k, so I still have her.

Needs some tweaking and dyno time, but that will have to wait until spring. Hoping to hit the mid to low 9s

The 1/4 mile is for my sons 90 Talon. I have not been on a drag strip in years...

WOW that is a lot of work ahead. Good luck with the transformation!

Jim, I'm your greatest fan. I'm sure the Talon will WOW others as well as your son. I am glad to hear you kept the rolling bank account. As long as you still get enjoyment when you drive her, it's all worth it. Happy holidays my friend.
Hey Doc...have you ever been to the Sandhills in Arnold?
Dave: Thanks for the kind words my friend. I sincerely wish you and your family the same.

Ballistic: Nope can't say I have up in that area. Not much out there. As a matter of fact up in the Sandhills the state tree is the phone pole. :D

Wow Doc, there sure are many mods on the Talon! I bet you are somewhat happy that your almost finished with it. But I'm sure that you and your son have some good times working on it together. My son always reflects back when I helped him with his Z. It makes you want to keep doing it, but I know how expensive the parts are for any vehicle when you are overhauling one.

Good job on the project car as well as the video updating.
