How do you adjust the choke? My car acts like it doesn't want to start. After a few seconds of turning the key, it fires right up. The noise sounds like a starter problem. What do you all think???

Hi JetBlack82---------If this is an '82 ZX we're talking about, there is no choke. The function of the choke is taken over by the cold start valve on the EFI system. If you're getting an unusual noise it may be the starter, particularly if it seems to drag or turn over slower than it should. Any big parts store can usually check a starter out for correct operation. One good indication the starter's failing is that it tends to get very hot when you crank the engine over.

Thats true, I am trippin.... 82's don't have a choke, it's got a Fuel Injector. I was givin some crazy opinions by someone.

I will take it down to the Auto Store and get it checked. It probably is the Starter it is hot when I try to start it...... Thanks

If the starter is bad, try to get a gear reduction starter, much better, starts fast.
