up the compression ratio on a L28 with a N47, i was debaiting on flat top pistons

I'm no expert, but the only thing you can do is plain the head or change the pistons. Plaining the head helps alot (one thing I read "claimed" a second in the quarter) , but there may be other problems unknown to me that come from that. You need one of the good engine guys here to comment, but consitering your subject has nothing to do with engines........ my .02
