after i drove a couple of times around the block (to check on some other repair) i noticed that the current was not sitting at the normal voltage, usually 14.5 or so, it was sitting at 11.5-12 volts. so i looked under the hood to check the tension of the belts and what not and the alternator pully was burning hot, it burned my hand. so my question is is the belt to tight? shouldnt it be maybe warm at the most, and last question if i have been running the car like this for a little less than a month is it possible that I burnt out my alternator?
