Shiro Special has exact same engine as all the other 88-89s.

From: http://www.zcar.com/forums/read.php?f=2&i=140381&t=140381

88-89 Z31 Turbo: VG30ET, CR 8.3:1, T25, 4.5psi, 205hp @ 5200, 227ft-lbs @ 3600

Those numbers are at the flywheel, of course, and you wanted at the wheels, so the general rule is to take off about 15% power for a manual transmission. So about 175 hp @ 5200 rpm and 193 ft-lbs @ 3600 rpm.

I dyno'd my SS earlier this year, and it got roughly 175HP and 200 Torque to the wheels. I have the video/dyno sheet on here somewhere. Note that the temp in the shop was almost 100 degrees.

175 horsepower? Does the power really drop that much over the years? I've always kind of questioned whether I was really running anywhere close to 160 hp on my stock 86 n/a.

Es3....you've been around here long enough to realize that mostly all advertised HP and TQ readings on new cars are measured at the flywheel. Transfering the power from your engine to the wheels creates a parasitic loss....

This is where the HP goes..
