I got a 260z not long ago and i removed the block plug and no water came out! the water jacket was packed with mud! i poked a stick in it and finaly got it to drain then flushed it out with a hose. now i dont think i got it all out but since i have a freeze plug that needs replacing should i remove all the freeze plugs and flush the heck out of it? i have to remove the carbs to throw them in a large hole anyway. has anyone stumbled on to this before? i think it would run cooler without the mud. i plan on keeping anti freeze in it.

Goodbuddy, I think you need an oil cap job. It's a very simple thing, all you have to do is unscrew the engine oil filler cap from the valve cover, put another engine under it and screw it down again. That should end all your headaches.

I'm just guessing, but I bet your 260's engine was under water, like in the hurricane on the east coast last year. If so, the whole engine is probably packed with grit and should be rebuilt.

That makes sence but the oil and the rest of the car is real clean. maybe some brats were playing service station because it was alot of mud and its always been in california i think.
