What is the cure for a soft frame??

I took the plunge and bought a '79 280ZX. Upon inspection the dealership told me the front of the frame was "soft" (the lift made marks on it) and that stuts and shocks were a waste of money before fixing that. They frame is not rusty at all.

What can I do about this?

put after market frame rail or reinfoce the one that you got. you may not seet the rust but there may be some from inside. rust builds from inside

It could also be one of those eivil cars that have had under coat layed over the rust, crating an illusion of a frame that was once solid. I've peeled chunks of undercoat off to find the nastyest rust patches.

Well she's headed to the body shop tomorrow. I'll soon know the extent of it.
