Check the cold start system, cylinder head temp sensor, corroded FI connectors, ect. Get a factory service manual, it will help you troubleshoot and test the FI system. Check the archives for FSM or Factory Service Manual for info on where to get one.

Jules,

No way around it, John 510 was right, you need to get a FSM to putz with these cars. In the meantime, in addition to his recommendations, you might want to check the coil. I just replaced the coil on my 77 as it was weak and the car had some of those same problems. When you test it you should get a nice fat blue spark. Mine was yellow indicating a weak coil. Drop me a line if you have any questions. Good luck. John JML 77 280Z
