Greetings, On my 81 ZX the heater hose comes off the lower radiator hose coinnection. Nothing new here, but it goes into a small plastic/metal check valve. (not used on the earlier Zs) Mine leaks and I can't find one in any of the Z catalogs. Have any of you bypassed it? If so how? And did your heater still provide very hot air? (I live in Utah) Enjoy, Lew

that valve is designed to close off the heater hose when the a/c is operating. you can buy a new valve from the dealer or just remove it and bypass it. the car will still produce heat but i don't know what effect it may have on the a/c. it may produce warm air when you don't want it to.
