HEY!!! I have a 1971 240Z....I am restoring it. I am wanting to put in a 280Z Turbo engine in it. That or a ford 302 with a 5 speed trans. I have both the Turbo engine and the 302 and 5 speed. I was leaning toward the V8 thing....but I could use it in another car. So this takes mebake to putting in the Turbo engine. Can anyone give me some hints and tips on how to start this, the best way to do it....and on the cheap side. I do not have tons of money right now. I have gathered MANY Z car parts. I have several engines and trans. I have a 3.9 R200 rear end. A 81 or 82 non turbo 5 speed trans. and a 82 or 83 turbo engine...not for sure on the year. I need to get the wiring and computer out of a turbo car. I heard that 83 is the best year. Will it hook up to an 82 engine? Also, cn anyone give me some websites to look up? I found one a long time ago that had tons of tricks on upping the HP on these engines without spending alot of $$$. Any help at all would be a big help.....thanks!!! Also.....If anyone is in need of Z car parts ask. I have a MANY extra ones laying around and in good shape. 70 - 83. Thanks again.

Go to the top of this page and use the search engine of the archives, this subject has been discused several times.(beaten to death actually). The actual swap is pretty simple but there are several good posts to help with the wiring, fuel pump tank mods ect.
