Folks, I have a 1983 280ZX Turbo Automatic, can anyone tell me what the green and white connector coming from the driver's side near ecu wires is for and where does it connect? Thanks!

I think your best bet is to find a wiring diagram online and look for the wires by color. It may take a while to puzzle it out.

Do the wires go into the loom? If you follow the wires and they head back near the gas pedal it might be your automatic transmission kick-down switch.

Buy ya, I second Pilgrim, the wiring diagram will give you the definitive answer because theres no real reason for us to guess back and forth.

Mr.turner:

Well, acknowledging that I don't know ZXs, I will note that on the 280Z, there is, around those parts, the F.I./F.Pump relay that has two plugs, one green, one white.

This may not apply in your case, but it might be a starting point for a Wiring Diagram search.

Also, the FSM will likely indicate the general locations of wiring components.

Both references are invaluable if one is going to muckle about with a car.

$.02 from the cheap seats.
