Well, apparently the last time I drove my '74 I pushed it alittle to hard. I don't remember much about the night except the hang over the next morning. I was going to drive it last weekend, but it had alot of (what I thought at the time) valve train noise. Unfortunately, not so. I adjusted the valves today and some of the noise went away, but not the loud knock. It seems to be coming from #4 or #5. I haven't gotten the scope out yet. What are my chances it is something easily fixed. Not to say pulling a piston and rod are easy by any means. What I'm trying to get to is, does someone in the Texas metroplex area have a spare car with a L28 that they don't have a use for. I'm not to concerned about anything but the block and head. If it has a 5 speed bolted to it that would be even better. Email me directly if I'm in luck. Thanks everyone.
