anyone recommend a shop specializing in Zs in Ft. Worth area for my 83 turbo? I've had a few problems with Grubbs Nissan in the past and am not convinced they are the best place to take my car. I'd rather pay less and get better work!

YES - Two good shops in west Fort Worth. both are in the businsess section of the white pages. One is Rocky's Garage and the other is Rising Sun Performance. I have had personal experience with Steve Ehlers of Rising Sun. He has been working on Z's for 20 years. He is Nissan trained - worked for them for 5 years - and has a fully equipped shop. He fixed problems with my car that Don Davis Nissan in Arlington couldn't figure out. The Grubbs guys send people either to Rocky or Steve when they can't figure it out. My car goes back into Steve's shop this next Tuesday for some additional work. I'm also working with him and Jerry at All Z Car Specialist to build up a slightly modified L28 to replace the one in my car that is on its last legs due to being improperly set up by one of the local Nissan houses several years ago.
Give them a call. You'll be impressed.

Rocky's Garage did all of my work for me. Nice guy who shoots it from the hip, no hidden charges, or short-cuts.

Heard good things about the shop Phantom went to not long ago, Rising Sun. My cousin currently has his '83 Turbo at Rocky's and 2 other guys out of my club have went there, each time happy with the results. Rocky's a Master Tech and is certified.

Good Luck on your car.
