i recently took apart my door in my 73 240 and saw this rubber roller thing on the bottom of the door. I looked it up in my manual and it said it was a Glass bamper that goes under the window mechanism somehow. Does anyone know where it mounts. It looks as if it clips to something.

its pretty vauge on the location and i cant seem to find the right spot.

It clips to the inside doorskin (opposite from where the window trim is) and is used to keep your window glass from scraping against the metal when you roll it up and down. I can't tell you exactly where it goes, I usually just clip it near the middle to balance things out.

I think it goes a little further towards the back...

There is actually a little cutout on the outside part of door skin in clips into,If you look close you will see it it is about the only place it will fit and still let the window roll up and down correctly.
