i got a 73 240 that seems to have an electrical problem.; I was driving it when the tach dropped to nothing and all my gauges went out. The choke light an fasten seat belt dont work now along with the turn signals? The alt. and regulator were replaced not to long ago. Anyone know what this could sond like?

could be the accesory position of your ignition switch failed. if you have a spare switch check it with that. i'm not sure how to check the switch itself to see if it's bad, but that's what it sounds like to me.

Ahhh...did you check the fuses?

mine was doing the exact same thing. it was the fuse... I found it odd that one fuse controlled so many things but that was it.
