i am looking for a gas tank for a 1978 280z. mine i sfull of junk, and i would rather not bother with it. i just would like to buy a new gastank. if anyone could help me out that would be great

I don't think you can get new anymore...

simply remove the tank (you would have to anyway)...buy some "sloshing" cleaner
and slosh the tank...put in a sealer...slosh it around & pour out the extra...let dry...
you're done...except for reinstalling the tank...the sealer kits are available from most of the car supply folks...someone here must know of several...or a used one from the wrinkled parts store...but it might be worse than what you have... )

I was quoted around $530.00 for a new tank at my local Nissan dealer (Winchester, VA). Cheaper to go with the DIY method or through one of these places
