The digital dashboard has an accelerometer gauge to measure acceleration/deceleration in G-forces. The digital dash's computer calculates it. The unit of measure is 1 G force 9.8 meters per second squared. In calculus, it's defined as the change in velocity divided by the change in time. The accelerometer is worthless if you ask me. I don’t know why Nissan included it. My 84 turbo has a digital dash. The accelerometer doesn't provide any useful information so I don't even look at it. On the other hand, the compass gauge right next to the accelerometer is indispensable to have.
