saw your post, and needed to call autogator anyways, so i asked about what you needed.
btw: 800-252-6662

they told me they just got a '76 in, with a few parts off of it already, but he was fairly sure that the fuseable link boxes were in it. i think '76 boxes are the same as '78, perhaps someone reading this knows and is nice enough to post info :)

Autogator is in sacramento, ca, and i am in concord (60 min west and south), i may head up there this weekend to look at some other parts, and if i do, i'll check out the parts you were asking about, and give you the info.

If you're near sac, autogator is the best [imho] for used nissan/Z stuff.

I was just digging around my shop and found a maxi-fuse block and thought I'd write a bit more about it. Awhile back "Superthib!" posted here (post) and then followed with an Article. But many people were unable to find a source for the fuse block itself. Most quality car audio shops will stock these parts, but here are some links that might help others.

Crutchfield, Rockford Fosgate probably the easiest to get:

Cool looking, who's got them? ABM48:

Nice selection from China, but any US distributors?

Why do you need to replace the boxes??...broken??...or simply dirty contacts???
if the contacts are dirty just clean 'em up...my 78 has two "boxes" and my (early)
74 (260) has only one, by the way...perhaps the late 74 has two, I dunno...)

I guess they can go bad by melting at the point where the wire passes through. Mine had broken mounting tabs, plus were melted.

Oh yeah, I THINK the 77 and up has two (pods/boxes), and 76 and earlier had one. If you only have one, then the second wire goes to your ignition. (sorry brain spasm).

I guess you could patch new ones in, but it would involve cutting and splicing your wiring. The cleanest way would be to replace the wiring with new (or go with one of the aftermarket solutions).
