I suspect that the miniature screen filters inside the banjo bolts on my carbs may be clogged. I've heard finding them is rather difficult, so my question is does anyone think that running without them would cause any big problems (provided adequate filtration is provided prior to this point in the fuel supply line). I myself don't think it would cause any problems, and I am contemplating removing them, but I figured I'd ask for a few second opinions before I yank them.

Thanks folks

Yes it wil cause problems.but not immidiately...the screens are there to chatch **** ..so if they are clogged with rust i recomend that you replace them and also find out what has clogged them and try to fix it...like it may be manny things first check your fuel filter and then check your fuel, by disconnecting the fuel filter from the side of the filter that the fuel goes into it and get a big glass jar ( clean it out good ) Rock the car back and forth to shake up the tank of gas and pump fuel into the glass jar...inspect it for floating particles and if you dont see any put a lid on the jar and let it sit for an hour undisturbed on a white piece of paper ..and then check for sediment,,rust and stuff that should not be there.....
i hope this helps...but never run without filters of any sort they are there for your engines protection!

I would recommend you get in touch with Scott Bruning at Z Therapy. They have a web site I think its www.ztherapy.com (don't quote me). HE does alot of carb rebuilding and I would bet he has the parts you need. Good luck!
