When i turn the ignition to the on position, the fuel pump runs constantly and does not shut off untill the car is turned off. I am getting a lack of fuel pressure which causes the car to either die and or bog down after the car runs for about 5-10 minutes. I replaced the fpr thinking it wasn't holding pressure, but it did not fix the problem.

What would cause the fuel pump to just not turn off? Should I replace the pump? ... ecu maybe?

edit: ran the codes and did not get anything malfunctioning.

i just replaced the fpr the other day with an oem part. I doubt it's a defunct product, but it's hard to tell.

locate the fuel pump relay, if you take the plastic cover off, carefully , you'll probably find the little contact points inside welded together. if i remember right that relay is in the rear cabin.

i would pressure check the pump itself........ it might be on its way out...... it might not be able to build enough pressure to keep it running for any amount of time.......
