Hey all, I know when you turn the key to the "on" position on the 82 280zxT, your supposed to hear the fuel pump goin. Now my problem is that when i hear the fuel pump pumpin, theres a click too. I suspected a little bit that my fuel pump might be bad. Is there a way to check this?

I had a similar problem, but when it would click the engine would not start. I've replaced the fuel pump relay switch and that has helped, but still on occasion (i'd say maybe once a month) it would still do the same thing. Atleast it sounds like you are able to have your car run, before it would sometimes just die in traffic and you would have to keep turning the key from on to off back to on untill it stopped clicking and you heard the pump go.
