Has anyone tried to install a fuel cell in a street Z?
Is it difficult? Is it expensive? Is it worth doing in the first place?
I'm thinking about replacing my stock one which has a visible dent in it which really bugs the **** out of me every time I see the car on the hoist. I've got a bit of cabin fever and feel like doing a smallish project before spring.

From what i've heard, it involves taking your tank off, removing your spare tyre, cutting the spare well and rewelding it to the shape of the fuel cell, moderatly easy IF you know how to weld a fuel cell will cost you around 100-300$

Check with ATL and Fuel Safe. If I remember correctly, one of them markets a cell that fits in the spare tire well. You will have other issues to address if you use the well like the cost of the cell and relocation of the spare. Maybe put the spare underneath where the old tank was? The Miata guys do it. I will look at ads later today to see if I can find out who has them. If I find it, I will re post.
