Hey Guys,
I've been wrestling with a flooding F.I. system. It's a 280 ZXT system transplanted into my '76 280. I first started having problems when it turned cold and it was hard to start in the mornings. It would run rough for a while and then be back to it's old self after a while/warm up. Then one day (while running well) it just quit on me, right in the middle of 5:00 traffic. I've switched out the air flow meter and the O2 sensor. It's getting spark and the spark plugs get soaked with fuel. Any suggestions as to what could cause this? Thanx

Look at the engine temperature sensor on the passanger side near #5 spark plug. I had corroded fittings there and it thinks its 40 below and gives full rich mixture.

check the fuel presure regulator

I had the same problem

FPR leaked into the intake manifold.....
disconnect the vacume line from the intake, and turn on the ignition
as the fuel pump builds presure, check for gas comming out of that line

i had a bad cold start injector go bad and it would dump gas intot he engine all the time..but the turbo 280zx's dont have cold start injectors as far as i can remember..jim
