after 3 days and 19 total man hours (me and my dad for 9.5 hours) its finally fixed. the initial problem was the timing belt tensioner but we also replaced the water pump, thermostat, timing belt, power steering belt, and the radiator cap.

i was lucky as **** with my tensioner. of 30 or so ball bearings only one was found and the tensioner assembly that was supposed to be one nice and neat package was now about 6 or so ground bits. the debris was in the process of chewing the timing belt to shreds. thankfully all the parts that were supposed to go back on the car all seemed to find one spot or another to be bolted on.

over all it was an excellent 3 days of me, my z, and my dad.

ill post pics when i am not so tired.... **** t-belt.
