No, you only need one thermostat because both fans can be wired into a single relay. You'll just have to buy a second inline fuse. Go with the dual fans because they'll cool your entire radiator better. If you use a single, make sure to put it on the side with both the inlet/outlet, otherwise im sure you'll overheat. Personally im using the stock fans off a 93' integra. I have them both wired to a single relay and come on with ignition instead of on a thermostat. I have dual thermostat controlled fans on my El Camino and its just a pain in the ass. Hope this helps.
