i just got a 83zx f 54 engine from a friend.it has the p79 head on it.well heres my qustion in my 76 280z i have the n42 with n47 head.which head and block should i use.if i put the n47 head on the f 54 will this raise my compresson.what engine or what parts should i use off the engine.i want to use the 76 for drag raceing.and if i change the head what will the diffrents in hp be.thanks a head of time. freez

i agree wiht both bryans site is very imformative. also you most definetly want the N47 head with the F54 block.
